How do I know?
The counselors are here, parents are calling, and my office looks like someone took the contents of a Staples Superstore and shook it onto my desk.
It's easy for me to get into the wrong attitude when I feel like everything and everyone is depending on me.
When I give and give and don't feel like I'm getting much in return? My spirit wears out and my temper wears thin.
That's why I have to find the moments of God's love, His faithfulness.
Those little moments? They may only be seconds long- a ray of sunshine hitting the clouds just so, or a Facebook video of a little boy receiving a present that makes him cry.
They fill me up. I just need to open my eyes and see them.

The last little one to leave the nest... (and yes, this is the same nest from last week, and a few weeks before that.)

With two dogs around the farm, we've had to do some creative exercising.
This picture makes me laugh so hard.

An Iowa traffic jam.

Food at camp every night this week- thanks to the beginning of the summer season.
With a filled-to-the-brim schedule, the space that not cooking and not doing dishes has created feels like fresh air.

We've made it a point to do something together almost every night this week, and that often looks like taking the canoe down to the pond. And getting covered in mud.
Of course, Bear and Tina couldn't be left behind.
Tina loves to swim (and when we bring a tennis ball down to the pond with us, she's even more excited).
Bear, on the other hand, prefers almost tipping the canoe by trying to sit directly on top of Trevor.
It's hard to believe that this place has been ours for a whole year, already. Such a blessing.

A group of wise, God-seeking young women who I have the privilege of mentoring this summer.

With all the not-doing-dishes, I've spent my few minutes at home bothering Trevor to put up pictures, finally.
We've gotten one painting up, so far-- my favorite.
Excuse the mess in the background- tidying up comes second to decorating around here.

I also hung up some antique kitchen utensils on the wall between windows in my kitchen (without Trevor's help, actually). Love it.

THIS WEEK
In case you missed it, this week here on the blog...
I talked about my office-- since it's where I spend a lot of my time, now-- and all the things that make my office wonderful.

Have a great weekend-- find those moments!

The peace of your pond is like a healing balm on your stressed spirit!! So glad you and Trevor get to share some quiet time there with your fur babies!
