It's been quite a week- to the extent that it feels like I've lived a month in the span of these seven days. But in the middle of all the change, finding those blessings- noticing and expressing gratitude to God- gives me a firm foundation.
The view from my backyard... and beautiful sunny days.
... ... ... ... ...
Early morning walks and my "mountain dog"
Open pastures and dry prickly shrubs
Mist rising off the river in the valley
... ... ... ... ...
Trevor working close to home-- so close I can see him from the kitchen window (and of course, Bear "supervising")
A yard full of snowmobiles- like souvineers of our new life

The things that stay the same- familiar moo's and smells from the backyard make this new place feel even more like home
... ... ... ... ...
Small hands and the chance to help out my hubby (even if I do get a little dirty)

THIS WEEK
On the blog this week, I talked a little about how really knowing our identity makes a difference in the little things-- even down to exercising. Really. This whole transformation thing works in all sorts of ways- I'm still discovering just how transforming it is. (Tennis Shoes : how identity affects small choices)
There's been a lot of talk about simplicity in Christian circles- of paring down and cutting back. But making a drastic life change, I'm finding, isn't always the way to find peace and rest. Sometimes it's right here already, in the middle of the busy. (Holding the Handfuls)
Have a wonderful weekend- and don't forget to count those blessings!
