Speaking of rainy days... we've had a lot of them this week. Thankfully, I have plenty of inside work to get done, and the rain is making things bloom and grow all around us.
... ... ... ... ...
There's a little bird building a nest on the edge of the garage- I see her hard at work in the mornings through the window by my bed.
... ... ... ... ...
Bear got some nice long runs in this week, even with all the rain. There's nothing better than standing chest-deep in the water to rest his paws.
All the stream beds, the creeks, and even our little pond are filling up with water because of all this rain.
... ... ... ... ...
Toward the end of the week, the weather really cooled down- which meant we put our fireplace to good use.
Some of the logs we've got stocked up in our sheds have some really interesting shapes.
... ... ... ... ...
That wood smoke smell that lingers on my clothes and in my hair- so cozy.
... ... ... ... ...
Rain through my window.

THIS WEEK
Just in case you missed it...
This week we continued the series on the Bible with some practical tips about what to do when the Bible makes no sense.
Facebook has been particularly tricky lately for the Speckled Goat- apparently, several people "liked" the Facebook page this week, which angered the FB powers-that-be and they've decided to show my posts to all of five people. Thrilling.
So, once again, I'll remind you that the best way to connect with this blog and make sure that you're staying updated (and not missing it when I write something new) is to subscribe via e-mail- either to get an e-mail update every time I post, once a week, or even once a month.
And you can do that right here:
Have a wonderful weekend, and don't forget to count your blessings!
