Favorite Motorcycle Gear: The Extras
"It somehow happened that I went from a total whimpy scaredy cat to an actually pretty competent motorcycle passenger. I'm not entirely sure how.
Of course, I have put on over 5000 miles on the back of a motorcycle now, over the course of six or so years of little trips and much, much bigger trips. And I love it. Love, love, love it.
I've learned some stuff along the way, too. About me, about Trevor, about God, about riding through high-speed winds and rain... and about the gear that makes riding easier or more convenient or just plain better."

So, I haven't really said much about it, but I wanted to give you all a heads up so you're not too surprised! (Unless you like to be surprised... then stop reading.)
I'm working on something that the blogging gurus call "a rebrand," which basically means that the look of A Home Called Shalom is going to be changing... and, actually, the name and URL will be changing, too. We'll get to that. Eventually.
I'm still working on getting everything exactly as I want it, but I'm hoping to "rebrand" in September (which, also, is when we're moving... because I like starting projects in the middle of other, larger projects...). Stay tuned on that! It's exciting!

Anyway.
At the end of this busy week, it can seem like those unchecked boxes on that long to-do list are judging us. Are measuring us by the things we didn't accomplish, the expectations we didn't live up to, the people we didn't manage to be this week.
Don't let the things you didn't do define your week.
Instead, let's measure our days by how grateful we are, by how much grace we extend to ourselves and to others. Let's define ourselves by God's love, not by where we see our limitations.
Let's find our being in His grace- and be grateful for this crazy gift of life.
