I blinked, and it's Friday. It's been that sort of week- so busy and so much fun that it's just flown by.

A visit from our brother (and his new fishing boat!)

My dad (and mom and sister) also came over- to share his sound system know-how (and to hang out with me... at least that's what I think)

Friends getting married and beginning a new life together!

Our youngest brother graduated high school (and our nephew was very interested in the proceedings- and just look at that little tie!!) 

We're so proud of our (newly graduated) brother- and we can't wait to see where this next season of life takes him!

And we got to hang out with these sweet littles again on Wednesday- what a fun visit! And a beautiful day to play at the park, play on the beach, play on the swings... we had a very fun day! Luckiest aunt and uncle ever!

The Extraordinary in the Ordinary

I don't really take the time to pay much attention to some of the things around me. The things that once made this place so special... sacred, even, become ordinary and mundane because, well, because I'm human. The novelty wears off. I take it for granted.
